Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Noida International Airport, Jewar, on 25 November 2021.

Noida International Airport, Jewar, will be one of the largest airports comprising six runways spreading over 5,000 hectares. Noida International Airport will be developed through Public-Private Partnership Model in four phases. 

The state government of Uttar Pradesh has set up a nodal agency Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), for monitoring the airport development.

Noida International Airport will be developed by Swiss developer Zurich International Airport AG. 

The Noida International Airport is estimated to complete by 2024. Noida International Airport, Jewar, will be a net-zero emission airport in India.

Initiation of Noida International Airport work has already accelerated development along the Yamuna Expressway for commercial, industrial, institutional, amusement, and residential purposes.
